In ancient Indian philosophy, there are three commonly experienced states of consciousness: waking (jagrat), dreaming (svapna), and dreamless deep sleep (shushupti). Underlying and transcending these states is turiya which is pure consciousness. It is the state of oneness with the universe, the observer consciousness. It is the goal of every life form to ultimately rest in turiya.
The aim of Turiya wellness and activity center is to approach wellness holistically in the dimensions of physical, mental, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, social, environmental and occupational wellness. It is a step towards a more balanced lifestyle.
Our journey of promoting wellness and sustainability started from our Dhatu Organics and Naturals super stores in Mysore. Next came Rasa Dhatu, organic vegetarian multi-cuisine restaurant that offers a host of healthy, wholesome, gastronomic creations, with options to cater to even people with raw, vegan and gluten free diets. With the intent of promoting rain fed, sustainable, indigenous crops, as well as, of reviving ancient, and traditional food processing for cleaning, sorting, storing, sprouting, cold-milling and fermenting, we introduced our own line of grocery products. We now offer whole grains such as rice and millets, pulses, sprouted and cold-milled flours, super foods, natural sweeteners, natural salts, full range of spices, and more.
At Turiya wellness and activity center, we offer Hataa and Ashtanga yoga classes. We are also an Ayurveda and Siddha (traditional Indian systems of healing and wellbeing) clinic with consultation for various ailments. We also offer a full range of ayurvedic treatments and therapies such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Basti and more. Our ayurvedic spa offers all natural herbal beauty treatments. Diet and nutrition consultation is available. Classes and workshops are conducted on traditional ayurvedic cooking, bodywork, cosmetology, and medicinal herbs. We also conduct a whole host of programs and events to kindle the imagination, nurture ideas, explore new paths, and satiate curiosity.
